Thailand Food – Ra-Men Bankara @ Siam Paragon Bangkok

Category : Thailand Bangkok

And now for my partner’s new favourite Japanese Ramen Place here in Bangkok – Ra-Men Bankara @ Siam Paragon Bangkok.

Watch out NanTsuTtei Ramen @ Siam Paragon Bangkok, you have competition! Haha 😀

He had Ra-Men Bankara’s Kakui Bankara @ THB255 which is Bankara Original topped with their signature Kakuni (braised pork belly) from their Bankara Soup Signature Ramen series.

What won my partner over was their richer soup base and tender signature Kakuni.

It was richer than NanTsuTtei Kuro Nantsu Ramen’s soup base and its Kakuni was tenderer than NanTsuTtei’s Cha Shu.

Here’s how the menu described this yummy Japanese Ramen:

Special pork bone broth infused with specially refined Shoyu, served with medium thickness Tokyp style noodles. Lighlty salted with a hint of sweetness. Best served with Ra-Men Bankara’s signature Kakuni (braised pork belly).

As for me, I had Ra-Men Bankara’s Sankoichi @ THB270 which is Tonkotsu with full toppings of their signature Kakuni, extra large serving of spring onion and 4 pieces of seaweed.

Mmm…Personally I prefer NanTsuTtei Kuro Nantsu Ramen over Ra-Men Bankara’sSankoichi.

I didn’t quite  enjoy Sankoichi’s soup base and Kakuni which is a tad fatty for my fancy.I could do without the 4 pieces of seaweed too, which tastes very ordinary.

Here’s how the menu described it:

Tonkotsu soup, employing a slow boil technique to create a milky and rich in flavour pork bone soup, served with thin Hakata style noodles. Smoothness of taste is he defining character.

We each ordered different starred and style of Ramen on Ra-Men Bankara’s menu and had mixed reviews on our maiden experience at this super crowded Japanese Ramen restaurant at Siam Paragon Bangkok.

So…return again? Mmm…Maybe. Though I won’t order Ra-Men Bankara’sSankoichi again. Maybe their Cha Shu Ramen 😛
