There used to be a lot more Curry Times outlets across Singapore. Enjoying a bowl of Curry Times’ Signature Curry Chicken 招牌咖喱鸡 with their Golden Bread 黄金面包 was a lunch time indulgence when they were still at Alexandra Retail Centre (ARC).

The loss of their outlet at Northpoint City was also saddening, as it meant no more family meals there. Though it is newly replaced by Ajumma’s Korean Restaurant, which seems to be gaining popularity with the family 🤭

So, when we’re not having Genki Sushi, Curry Times will be our go-to restaurant when we are in the Westgate area. No Curry Chicken today. But their Chicken Vegetables (ABC Soup) with Rice @ S$10.9 is pretty good 👍

Especially for the elderly whose teeth may not be as strong (or many) as they used to be. Needless to say, the soft carrots and potatoes, paired with tender chicken is great for young kids too!

We like Curry Times’ Prawn Omelette @S$7.2 as well 👍 I personally like it because it has the perfect balance of slightly charred crispiness, while not being too dry. Not forgetting its bouncy prawns and spring onions.

And since we were “early”, we decided to try Curry Times’ Chicken Pie Set (with Teh C) @ S$3.34 👎 Sad to say it’s not really S$3. Guess I missed out the “FROM” S$3 Nett per set. And it wasn’t nice either.

Curry Times’ tea feels a little thin/diluted, bordering on bitter. Ya Kun wins hands down anytime. And their chicken pie just tastes weird. Its filling isn’t satisfying either. Polar Puffs and Cakes’ chicken pie remains my all-time favorite. But Polar’s never ending price hike means I haven’t had it for a looooooooooong time 🤷‍♀️
